3 things to buy when planning your party

It can be difficult to determine how much stuff you actually need to buy for a party, and it can end up being expensive if you don’t plan it right. We’ve come up with some helpful shopping tips for you when it comes to getting things like plates, cups, and cutlery.

If you follow the guidelines below it should help you and your pocket book!

Invitations

Invitations are a great way to give your guests an idea of the theme of the party!
You’ll want to have your guest list with you so you’ll know how many invites you’ll need to get.
Most invitations are sold in packs of 8, but some designs may be available in packs of 25.

Table Cover and Skirts

Plastic table cover is available in a variety of sizes and you will find table cover to coordinate with any color, theme or event. Plastic table cover can also be used to add coordinating or contrasting color draping to tables, ceilings, and walls.

Banquet Table Cover

Banquet Table Covers are for rectangular tables, most measure 54” x 108”, but some printed or themed table covers may be slightly smaller. These are generally used to cover 6’ – 8’ long tables.

Round Table Cover

Round Table Covers can be used on round or square tables and measure 81”. They are generally available in solid colors and fit 5’ round or smaller tables.

Table Rolls

Table Rolls are used for covering rectangular tables. Rolls are generally 40” x 100’ and will cover up to eleven 8’ tables. Larger rolls are available in limited colors.

Table Skirts

Table Skirts bring a classy look to any event by covering unsightly table legs while providing an out of site place to store boxes or extra supplies you may need during or after your event. Use table skirts on head and bridal tables, food and cake tables, gift and display tables. Table skirts are generally 30” x 14’ and will cover the front and 2 sides of an 8’ banquet table or all but approximately 3’ of a 5’ round table. Table skirts can be easily trimmed to fit any size table or to add extra pieces to fill in any gaps.

Napkins

Beverage Napkins

It is suggested that people will use one beverage napkins each, but if alcohol is being served you may want to plan on two per person. Most pattern or licensed napkins are sold in packs of 16 while solid color napkins are generally sold in packs of 50.

Luncheon and Dinner Napkins

It is suggested that people will use 1 to 2 lunch/dinner napkins person. Most pattern or licensed napkins are sold in packs of 16 while solid color napkins are generally sold in packs of 50.
